DOWNTON ABBEY STYLE : INTERIORS

downton abbey

I am very late to the party, but I only recently saw Downton Abbey. I'm hooked. It was an intense marathon of episodes watched within a few weeks, and January cannot come quickly enough for me to find out what happens next. The lavish lifestyle is completely unimaginable to me. I mean, they have someone to brush their freaking hair! And who would've foreseen that Lady Sybil would die? It was so dramatic with the entire family around her and unable to help.

Everything in the castle is lux and gilded and of the "more is more" era. Not my particular style (although, I am a bit obsessed with gold) - but I appreciate all the fineness and elegance exuded in the house.
